Accra City - Half Day Sightseeing Tour (4hrs)

The tour will take you through some principal streets of Accra to the NATIONAL MESEUM, established in 1957 to preserve several collections of pre-historical and contemporary treasures of Ghana and that of other ancient African Empires.  From there, the tour will continue to the KWAME NKRUMAH MAUSOLEUM AND MEMORIAL PARK, dedicated to the life and works of Ghana’s first President and to the CENTER FOR NATIONAL CULTURE, a major shopping center which preserves and presents Ghanaian arts, crafts and local textiles through exhibits, workshops and galleries.

Accra City - Full Day Sightseeing Tour (8½hrs)

The visit will take us to the W.E.B. DU BOIS MEMORIAL CENTER, a center dedicated to the late Pan Africanist (Dr. W.E.B. Du Bois) for Pan African Culture.  You will proceed through some principal streets to the NATIONAL MUSEUM where several collections of Pre-historic and Modern Treasures of Ghana and other Ancient African Empires are displayed.  The visit will continue through JAMES TOWN, the oldest part of the city to the MAKOLA MARKET, the biggest Traditional Open-Air Market in the capital city of Accra for an experience of typical African market atmosphere.  The Drive will continue to the KWAME NKRUMAH MAUSOLEUM AND MEMORIAL PARK for a guided tour into the life and works of the First President of Ghana and the rest of the time will be spent at the CENTER FOR NATIONAL CULTURE for leisure and shopping.

Winneba - Kokrobite Tour (8hrs)

This tour will take you to the popular breezy sea-side resort at Winneba in the central region. You will visit the old fishing port to observe the activities of the fishing folks. You will afterwards leave for another fishing community at KOKROBITE, a 25km drive from Accra city. Arriving there early on time will give you the opportunity to see the fishermen landing their catch.  You will proceed to the ACADEMY OF AFRICAN MUSIC AND ARTS to enjoy an afternoon of African drumming and dancing performance by the resident cultural troupe.

You will depart Accra to the Central region via en-rout viewing of splendid and pristine beaches and a number of dotted fishing villages.  You will stop over for a historic and cultural briefing at a colorful traditional military shrine “POSUBAN” at Mankessim.  You will proceed to KAKUM NATIONAL PARK, a patchwork of rain forest with fascinating herbal plants, trees, birds and other species of animals, and an adventurous “CANOPY WALKWAY”.

Aburi Botanical Gardens / Akonadi Shrine (full day)

You will leave Accra via the UNIVERSITY GHANA campus to ABOKOBI, a historic settlement of the Basel Missionaries in the mid of the 19th century. You will proceed to the ABURI GARDENS for a brief tour where you will experience the pure nature and fresh breeze of the vast flora rich botanical gardens. You shall continue to the famous psychic and herbal healing center “AKONEDI SHRINE” at Larteh and watch a traditional fetish ceremony performed after cultural briefing.

New Tafo/ Boti Waterfalls (8½ hrs)

You will depart Accra to New Tafo in the eastern region for a guided tour through the TETTEH QUARSHIE COCOA FARM (the very first and a model cocoa farm in the country) and the COCOA RESEARCH INSTITUTE. You shall continue the journey from there to the seasonal BOTI WATERFALLS with caves and cascades in the reserve forest of Huhunya. You will also have the opportunity of seeing the wonderful UMBRELLA ROCK and A PALM TREE WITH THREE (3) FRUIT BEARING STEMS.

You will leave Accra for the Awukugua, the birth place of Okomfo Anokye (the legendary fetish priest and African witch doctor credited with the founding of the Ashanti Empire) in the eastern region. On arrival, you will visit the OKOMFO ANOKYE SHRINE to see some of his powerful exploits including the tree he used his bear hands in crating holes in and the mark of his foot steps which dates back to centuries. There will be a stopover on the way to Begoro to see the wonderful palm tree with seven different trees brunches then proceeds to the BEGORO WATERFALLS for hiking and relaxation.

Ada Beach Resort (8 hrs)

You will depart Accra en-route the University of Ghana campus to “AZIZANYA”, ADA-VOLTA ESTUARY (where the Volta River enters the Sea). Special attractions include Fishing, Boating, Yachting, Water skiing and other water sports. 

Akosombo Dam (8 ½ hrs)

Depart Accra to Akosombo for a conducted tour of the HYDRO–ELECTRIC DAM situated on the Volta Lake (a 400km long North–South of the largest man made lake in the world covering an area of 8502km with a capacity of fishing activities).

Depart Accra driving north east to Akosombo for a guided tour of the HYDRO – ELECTRIC DAM situated on the largest man made lake in the world “LAKE VOLTA”.  After the tour of the Dam, there will be about seven (7) hours return cruising to an Island on the Volta Lake called DODI ISLAND.

Depart Accra early morning for a scenic drive to Tafi in the Volta region to watch hundreds of species of Monkeys in SACRED SANCTUARIES in a tropical forest in a siren village where the people hold them in high esteem. The journey will continue to the highest mountain in Ghana “MOUNTAIN AFADJATO” for a possible adventure and then continue to WLI FALLS (Ghana’s highest waterfall in the midst of Agumatsa Forest) and to TAGBO WATERFALLS situated in the midst of caves and water pools to experience Nature at its best.

DAY1   -   ARRIVAL
Meet at the airport and transfer to your Hotel.  Overnight in Accra.

DAY 2   -    ACCRA CLASSIC
After breakfast, leave for La township, meet with the La Mante and his elders learn about the history of the people.  Get to know how the name La came about.  Meet with the local people and interact with them and their social lives.  Explore the local market and learn some of the words of the local language.  Overnight in Accra.

DAY 3   -    ACCRA to KROBO TRADITIONAL AREAS
Leave hotel for the Krobo traditional area arrive and meet with the local chief and his council of rulers.  Learn about their history and their traditions.  Learn about their social lives and how they came to inhabit their present location.  Explore the traditional cottage industries of the people.  Visit the original home of the Krobos.  Return to Accra for overnight.

DAY 4    -   ACCRA to AKWAMUFIE
Depart Accra for the Akwamu traditional area learn about the legendary chief who cause the first coup de tat in Africa by taking over the castle from the Danes.  View the original keys of the Christiansburg castle which is a seat of the government of Ghana.  Explore the farmlands and interact with local farmers.  Overnight in Accra.

DAY 5   -    ACCRA to ABURI GARDENS
Spend the day at the century old gardens for a story telling session and the oral history of the heroes of the past.  Explore the kaleidoscope.

DAY 6   -    DEPARTURES
Spend the morning at leisure and for last minutes shopping.  Depart late afternoon for the airport for your departure.

STTIT002 - 7 Day Historic Tour

DAY 1   -    ARRIVAL
Meet on arrival and transfer to your hotel for overnight.

DAY 2   -    ACCRA CITY TOUR
Depart for a city tour of Accra and we will visit the Du Bois Centre, Memorial centre for pan African Culture.  Tour the National museum to see both pre-historic as contemporary Ghanaian and African art and artifacts.  Drive through down-town Accra for a visit to the Kwame Nkrumah Park and have a guided tour into the life and work of this great African leader.  Overnight in Accra.

DAY3   -    ACCRA - CAPE COAST
Today our tour will take us to the Cape Coast Castle built by the British in 1667 and used during the Trans-Atlantic slave trade and tour the infamous dungeons were African continue to Kakum National Park for a guided tour and a wok canopy walkway and also learn about the economic values of the trees in the forest.  Overnight in Cape Coast.

DAY4   -    CAPE COAST- KUMASI
This morning we continue our tour to Elmina castle, the biggest European architecture south of the Sahara, have a guided tour of the castle and learn about how the local got their western names.   Continue to Kumasi make a stop over in some farming villages, en-route.  Arrive and check into your hotel for overnight.

DAY 5   -   KUMASI
Leave hotel for Kumasi Cultural Centre and the Prempeh II museum for a guided tour into Ashanti Culture.  Manhyia Palace Museum for a guided tour where you will see rare royal paraphernalia’s and effigies of past Ashanti Kings.  Continue to the craft villages of Ahwiaa for wood carvings, Ntonso for traditional Adinkra cloth where you can also make your own patterns and visit the world famous Kente weaving village of Bonwire.  Return to Kumasi for lunch and overnight.

DAY 6   -    KUMASI - ACCRA
After breakfast we head south east wards to Accra, arrive late evening for overnight.

DAY 7   -    DEPARTURES
Spend the morning for private activities.  Depart late afternoon to the airport for departure.

STTIT003 - 8 Day beach experience in Ghana

DAY 1   -    ARRIVAL
Meet on arrival and transfer to your hotel.  Overnight in Accra.

DAY 2   -    ACCRA – ADA – ACCRA
Full day at the estuary at Ada for water sports and boat ride on the Volta Lake return to Accra late evening.

DAY 3   -    ACCRA – WHITE SANDS BEACH
Spend the day at the beautiful white sands beach.  In the evening bonfire at the beach and cultural performance and some few steps in Ghanaian dancing, overnight at white sands.

DAY    -   4 BEACH DAY
Spend the day at the beach for water sports and other activities.  Overnight at white sands.  Night party at the beach till you drops.

DAY 5   -    WHITE SANDS – BUSUA BEACH
Leave white sand for Busua Beach in the Western Region arrives and spends the rest of the day at the beach.  Evening have variety show at the beach.  Overnight at Busua.

DAY 6   -    BEACH DAY
Spend the day at the beach swimming and have a beach volley ball, table tennis badminton competitions.  Overnight at the Busua Beach resort.

DAY 7   -    BUSUA – ACCRA
Depart for Accra making stopovers in some villages and town.  Arrive in Accra for overnight.

DAY 8   -    DEPARTURES
Spend the morning shopping for souvenirs.  Leave for the airport late afternoon for your departure.

STTIT004 - 13 Day Heritage and Wildlife Tour of Ghana

DAY 1   -    ARRIVAL
Arrival and transfer to your hotel.  Dinner and overnight.

DAY 2   -    ACCRA – ADA
We will travel to Ada Foeh beach resort an ideal beach for swimming and fun till sunset experience the exciting cruising at the Volta Lake.  Lunch and Dinner will be taken there.  Overnight at the resort.

DAY 3   -    ADA – HO
After breakfast, we will drive to Xavi Birds Sanctuary to watch the various species of birds; the birds are in different shapes, colors and sizes.  You will also enjoy their welcoming “chorus”.  We will break for lunch.  Then followed by a cruise on the Lotor River that provides a chance to observe local fishing practices.  We will view the beautiful and diverse flora that frames the river.  Our next tourist site is the Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary.  You will see the endangered Mona Monkeys in their natural habitat Dinner and overnight at Ho.

DAY 4   -    HO
We will first stop at Mountain AfAdjaTO; the highest mountain in Ghana.  We will break for lunch and then proceed to Wli waterfalls to experience the indigenous freshness of the water.  Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 5   -    HO – AKOSOMBO
This morning we will travel to Akosombo to view one of the largest man-made lakes in the world that is the beautiful Volta Lake.  We then proceed to Akosombo dam for a guided tour.  They will educate us on how electricity is generated in Ghana.  Lunch at local restaurant.  Spend the rest of the day at leisure.  Dinner and overnight.

DAY 6   -    AKOSOMBO – LARTEH – ABURI
After breakfast, we will drive to Akonedi Shrine at Larteh.  They will brief you on the significance of our traditional beliefs and the Shrine, the elders of the village pay homage to the gods at the shrine on behalf of the entire township during special occasions.  We will break for lunch at a local restaurant.  Followed by a ride to Aburi Botanical Gardens where you experience the pure nature and fresh breeze of the gardens.  There will be a brief tour of the gardens including education on the trees and the botanical name.  Dinner and overnight at Aburi.

DAY 7   -    ABURI – KUMASI
Early morning departure to Kumasi after breakfast.  Our first stop is the Manhyia Palace.  We will watch a video clip on the Ashanti culture and Kingship followed by a guided tour at the Museum.  We will break for lunch.  We will the proceed to the Kumasi cultural centre for traditional crafts, items for sale.  Dinner and overnight.

DAY 8   -    KUMASI – OBUASI
This morning we will visit the OBUASI GOLDMINES.  There will be a guided tour at the mining area so that you will experience the process of mining and how the Gold in extracted.  Up on arrival in Kumasi, we will take lunch and then, tour the KEJETIA MARKET; one of the biggest open markets in West Africa.  We will visit the KENTE VILLAGE at Bonwre.  They also have indigenous HANDICRAFTS, POTTERY, WOOD CARVINGS AND TRADITIONAL BEADS for sale.  Dinner and overnight.

DAY 9   -    KUMASI – SALAGA – YENDI – TAMALE
Early morning departure to the Historic Salaga Slave Market, we will have a local lunch in Salaga, followed by a brief tour of Yendi’s Historic Township.  Up on arrival in Tamale, we will have dinner and overnight.

DAY 10   -    TAMALE – MOLE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, we will travel to Mole National Park, the home of, enjoy a walking Safari through this pristine Savanna vegetation with gallery of animal and forest along the rivers and streams.  We will have lunch followed by a guided tour of the Larabanga Mosque, the mosque contains a Koran which is also as old as the mosque itself and whose origin is still a mystery.  Dinner and overnight.

DAY 11   -    MOLE – KUMASI
After a breakfast, we will travel back to Kumasi.  On our way, we will stop over for lunch.  Dinner and overnight.

DAY 12   -    KUMASI – ACCRA
Leave for Accra after breakfast, making a stop over at Nkawkaw for lunch and picture break

DAY 13   -    DEPARTURES
We will have a ride to the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, then to the Central Market for last minute shopping.  Free time for relaxation and parking.  Farewell dinner at the hotel followed by departure to the airport.

DAY 1   -    ARRIVAL

DAY 2   -    ACCRA CITY TOUR
Depart for a city tour of Accra and will visit the Du Bois Memorial Centre for Pan African Culture.  Tour the National Museum to see both pre-historic as well as contemporary Ghanaian and African art and artifacts.  Have lunch at the local restaurant.  Drive through down-town Accra for a visit to the Kwame Nkrumah Park and a guided tour into the life and work of this great African leader.  Stop by for shopping at the arts centre.  Return to the hotel via the “Black Star Square” where major anniversaries are held.  Overnight in Accra.

DAY 3   -    ACCRA – CAPE COAST
Today our tour will take us to the Cape Coast Castle built by the British in 1667 and used during the trans-Atlantic slave trade and tour the infamous dungeons were African captives were held before sent to the Americans.  We will also watch a video on the social organization of the country before the coming of the Europeans to the shores of Ghana as the West African historical Museum.  We depart for lunch at the local restaurant.  We will have a walking tour of historical Cape Coast to view some buildings dating back to the 1600s and 1800s.  Spend the rest of day at the beach relaxing.  Overnight in Cape Coast.

DAY 4   -    CAPE COAST
This morning we continue our tour to the Elmina Castle built by the Portuguese in 1482 which is the biggest European architecture in Sub Sahara Africa, used by the Portuguese and the Dutch during the slave trade for a guided tour.  Have a walking tour of this historical Elmina township which was the first town to play host to the Europeans.  To view some historical buildings like the residence of the forced mistresses of the governors.  Interact with the local fisher folks at the local fishing harbor.  Return to the hotel for overnight.

DAY 5   -    CAPE COAST – KAKUM PARK
Drive to the Kakum National Park to experience a rare tropical rain forest and have adventurous walk on the “canopy walkway”.  To have a panoramic view of this tropical rain forest with different spices of butterflies.  Also learn about the cultural and social values of the trees to the people.  Depart Kakum for lunch at the local restaurant.  Spend the rest of the day at the beach relaxing.  Overnight in Cape Coast.

DAY 6   -    CAPE COAST – TAKORADI
Leave Elmina for Takoradi through a groove of coconut plantations.  Arrive and have a tour of the historical Sekondi-Takoradi township.  Continue to Akateyie crocodile village where the people hold them in high esteem.  Proceed to village of Nkroful the birth place of the first present of Ghana.  Return to Elmina for overnight.

DAY 7   -    CAPE COAST – KUMASI
Leave Cape Coast for Kumasi.  Arrive in Kumasi and visit the Kumasi cultural centre and the Prempeh Museum for a guided tour into Ashanti Culture.  Overnight in Kumasi.

DAY 8   -    KUMASI

DAY 10   -    KUMASI – OBUASI
Spend the day at Obuasi the nation’s largest Goldmine take a tour of the mine and a walking tour of the town.  Return to Kumasi late afternoon.

DAY 11   -    KUMASI – ACCRA
Depart for Accra arriving late evening overnight.

DAY 12   -    ACCRA
Spend the day at leisure for private activities.  Overnight

DAY 13   -    ACCRA – AKOSOMBO
Leave Accra for Akosombo to view the largest man made lake in the world and also hydro electric dam which was built by the first president of the republic.  Overnight in Akosombo.

Leave hotel early morning for a naming ceremony.  Learn about how Ghanaians get their names and believes.  Spend the day at the beach.  Overnight

DAY 5   -    CAPE COAST – KUMASI
Depart Cape Coast for Kumasi stop en-route and villages and learn about their social lives and arrive for overnight.

Visit the King of Ashanti, one of the most powerful Kings in Ghana and learn about the famous Ashanti Empire.  In the evening we leave hotel for an evening of story telling which is in the form of telling the history of some villages orally and its famous leaders by the fireside.  Overnight in Kumasi

After breakfast leave for a meeting with the Association of Ghana Industry.  Have a meeting with the Ministry of Trade.  Continue to Ghana Employers Association for a meeting.  Overnight in Accra

DAY 3   -    ACCRA
Depart for a meeting with the Ghana Investment Centre and have some interactions with the officials on investments opportunities.  Depart for another meeting at the Free Zones Board for discussions on the free zones enclave.

DAY 4   -    TEMA
Leave for Tema the Industrial City of Ghana for a tour of some factories and the Port of Tema.  As well as the fishing harbor.  Overnight in Accra

After breakfast check out of your hotel for Accra via Lake Bosomtwi, the largest Lake in Ghana. See the fishermen using planks and logs to fish. Continue to Accra, arrive late evening for overnight.

DAY 10   -    DEPARTURES
Spend the morning for private activities. Depart late afternoon to the airport for Departure.

Continue to the   industrial and harbor city of Tema.  The day will be spent at the Tema beach for relaxation, you will have the opportunity to see the Meridian Rock, which indicates the line where the Greewich Meridian passes in Ghana. Return to your hotel. Overnight in Accra.

DAY 4   -    ACCRA-KUMASI
You will depart from the hotel on a full day scenic drive to Kumasi.  Stop over at Ejesu Juaben to visit traditional shrine.  Overnight in Kumasi.

DAY 5   -    KUMASI CITY TOUR
Depart on a tour of the Manhyia Palace Museum which is on the premises of the Asantehene’s (the King of Kumasi) Palace, the cultural centre and the Prempeh II Museum.  Return to your hotel.

DAY 6   -    KUMASI CRAFT VILLAGES
Today, a visit to the craft villages at Ahwiaa, Ntonso and Bonwire, noted for their wood carvings, fertility dolls, Adinkra and kente cloths respectively.  Return to Kumasi for overnight.

DAY 7   -    KUMASI – MOLE
Early morning departure from your hotel for sightseeing at Tamale.  Drive back to Mole National Park and the Mole Motel for a stay of two (2) nights.

DAY 8   -    MOLE
Morning and afternoon game viewing at Mole National Park.  Return to the Mole Motel

DAY 9   -    MOLE – KUMASI
Depart from Mole Park for Kumasi.  Stopover at Kintampo Waterfall, a stay of one night.

DAY 13   -    CAPE COAST CASTLE TOUR
Proceed to the Cape Coast Castle which was expanded by English after changing hands from various Europeans and seat of British Administration until 1877 fora guide tour.  Continue with a walking tour of Cape Coast township and FortWilliams.

DAY 14   -    CAPE COAST ACCRA
Departure from Cape Coast to Accra via some fishing villages to see the fishermen landing their catch, mending their fishing nets and the various methods of fish preservation by the local women.  You will also have the opportunity to interact withlocal people for arrive and overnight.

DAY 15   -    LEISURE
Day at leisure for relaxation and personal activities.

Depart for Aburi Botanical Gardens for leisure walk in this century Old Park.  You will also visit the Presidential Lawn.  Continue to Akosombo.  Arrive and overnight.

Today you will board the MV Dodi Princess for a leisure cruise on the Volta Lake Overnight.

Early morning departure to the Tafi monkey sanctuary.  Return to Akosombo. Rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 19   -    AKOSOMBO – ADA
